COVID-19 UPDATE FAQ
We hope this page helps answer a lot of the questions we know you'll want to ask us since we updated you on our future plans.
Just to clarify we will no longer be open as a Tearoom. We will now operate as a Cakery bringing you all your favourite cakes, cheesecakes, brownies and more but for take away only.
As we realise we have a lot of vouchers that expired or are due to expire during our lockdown period. To these people we are so sorry you're not going to be able to use your voucher as intended but we would like to offer a take way Indulgent Afternoon Tea on Fridays and Saturdays during July and August. These need to be pre ordered here on our website. Alternatively you may use your voucher as face value for a celebration cake or take away cakes from our counter.
Can we just come to the Tearoom and use our voucher when you reopen?
Unfortunately for the foreseeable future the tearoom will not reopen.
My voucher is for Afternoon Tea for One/ Cream Tea
Not a problem, you can still use it! Just email us with your order or if you'd like to use it towards an Indulgent Afternoon Tea select the Indulgent Afternoon Tea Voucher Redeem and pay the top up amount on collection.
I've lost my voucher
Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for the care of your voucher. Vouchers MUST be presented when collecting your afternoon tea or using it to pay for cakes.
Can I choose my sandwiches and cakes like usual?
Of course! When ordering tell us your choices in the order comments on the checkout page.
Can I add to the value of my voucher?
Of course, you are welcome to use your voucher as face value against a purchase of cakes.
Can I collect it on a different day? I don't want it on Friday or Saturday.
Unfortunately they are the only days we will be opening so collection on another day is not possible. We order our meat from a butcher and bread from a bakery and will only get it delivered for those days.
Theres other days as options on the collection picker why can't I order for then?
Those times slots are for celebration cakes only. As the previous question we would not have the ingredients and there would be no cakes to choose from as we are not open.
What COVID measures are in place when I collect?
We are observing social distancing. We currently have signs with instructions for customers on where to stand when collecting. Face masks are not mandatory in the tearoom but please feel free to wear one if you wish. Hand sanitiser is available in various locations on the counter and our toilet facilities are unavailable for customer use.
Is it only card payments?
Card payments are preferred but we are also accepting cash.
I've been trying to ring you but you don't answer!
Sorry currently we have no staff at the tearoom on a daily basis so our phone lines aren't manned. Please try sending us an email or Facebook/Instagram message.
What cakes will be available?
Our cakes change all the time so we can't guarantee exactly but be confident that most of our most popular cakes will be available!
Can I buy extra cakes when I collect?
Of course we would love that!!
I paid a deposit for a Private Hire?
Please contact us by email or social media message
I bought the voucher for my Grandma and she doesn't have the internet!
We kindly ask for your help in this situation please! Could your please explain the situation and if they would like to order to take away we would be grateful if you could order for them. The order does not need to be in the name of the voucher holder, we just ask that the voucher is presented on collection by whoever collects. They can obviously use it for cakes instead.
When can I buy cakes with my voucher until
Your voucher will be valid for occasion cakes or cakes from our counter until 20th December 2020. The voucher must be presented when paying.
I want to order but I can't see the date I want on the drop down menu?
Unfortunately it more than likely means we are either fully booked for that day or not available for collection. Feel free to Facebook message or email but the likelihood is we wouldn't be able to do it sorry.
We hope this helps. If you still have a question that we haven't answered please don't hesitate to get in touch email@example.com or private message us on Facebook or Instagram.
